A New Addition to the Modern Family

First of all, I would like to welcome the newest addition to our Modern crew, Maximus! Congratulations to the new parents, Steve (the manager here) and Kally. He was born on Saturday, the 28th at 9:51pm. He was 6lbs 4oz. and 21 inches.

In other news, Fuel TV will be broadcasting the Ultimate Boarder contest. If you have no idea what this let me tell you!
It is kind of like a triathlon. The Ultimate Boarder Championship is a one-week competition to find the athlete who can conquer surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. Pretty cool, huh? This contest will be from April 4th to April 11th. Check your local TV listings for the airing times. For more information on this contest look at www.ultimateboarder.com

Crazy Article!

I was reading the new Transworld Skateboarding Magazine that we got in today, and there was a pretty interesting article in it. A skater received a 30-day suspension from the local skate park from dropping in on the vert wall. How ridiculous is that?

You should come visit one of our skate parks, because we won't suspend you for skateboarding.

Summer Is Coming

The weather has certainly seen some improvements, which means summer is on its way! That means, it is time to come into our store and get a new skateboard or longboard. We're getting in new stuff everyday. We carry both Sector 9 and Never Summer longboards. In store we have a ton of skateboard companies, I couldn't even begin to name all of them.

Also, all of us in Lansing are really excited about the DC Top Shop Competition on April 18th at our Royal Oak skate park. Keep an eye out for more information on that.

New Arrival: DVS Daewon CT-Almost Shoe

This is my first blog, so beer with me. (Get it? It's St. Patrick's Day. Haha)

This blog will keep everyone updated with all of the new products, sales, and up coming events.

Just this past week we got in the DVS Daewon CT-Almost shoe. This is the 9th version of this popular shoe designed and tested by pro skater Daewon Song. It has DVS's new Bruise Control Technology that keeps those heel bruises to a minimum. It also comes with free mini deck.
